One small suggestion is that you could contribute with good ideas to improve the environs of your college neighbourhood with innovative or technical and at the same time practical ideas. For example there is three road junction with one coming uphill and a nil view of oncoming traffic. Run a competition for practical, innovative and cheap solution and implement with the approval local government.
